Throughout worldwide,earthquakes have deprived lots of life and property.However,earthquakes cannot be predicted precisely in terms of the epicenter,time,seismic scale,and depth with various means.Therefore,in order to reduce the losses caused by the earthquake disaster,developing prediction methods of earthquake precursor becomes the aim which scientific researchers pursue.However,can we predict earthquakes? The question remains a subject of numerous controversial discussions and debates.As Wyss(2001)says "Earthquake prediction is difficult,but not impossible." Several studies have shown that prior to the earthquakes,some precursors can be found,such as electromagnetic anomalies,gas emission,ultrasound anomalies,groundwater level changes,ionosphere changes,surface deformation,ground temperature changes,and animal behavior anomalies,and so on.Thus,it is a crucial goal of the earthquake researchers that how to organize a generalizing monitoring systems for earthquake precursors to provide a stable prediction.This study suggests a systematic approach to detect earthquake precursors.In the one-year analysis,interpretation and verification,the results show that the abnormal signals have been detected prior to earthquakes with 75 to 90%success rate.Furthermore,the analytical accuracy on the prediction of location,time and magnitude scale can achieve 42 to 54%.
