Previously we reported block copolymerization of norbornene, propylene and methyl methacrylate (MMA) using fluorenylamidotitanium complex (1) activated by a mixture of MMAO and 2,6-di-tert-butyl4-methylphenol (BHT) as a catalyst.In this polymerization, the former olefin polymerization proceeds with cooridination-insertion mechanism and the latter MMA polymerization takes place with anionic mechanism, which is initiated by the nucleophilic attack of metal enolate to the carbonyl group activated by aluminum Lewis acid.
