Background: Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CYST) is a rare cerebrovascular disorder which accounts for 0.5%-2.0% of all strokes. It is a multifactorial disease where prothrombotic risk factors and predisposing clinical conditions usually in combination constitute the underlying etiology.Clinical features range from headache, seizures to comatose state. The risk factors are age-dependent, frequently multiple and different from those reported in adults.APS is a disorder characterized by elevated levels of multiple different antibodies that are associated with both arterial and venous thrombosis.Case Presentation: A 16-year-old student, female. On admission, the patient, who suffered from a headache on her right frontal areas, brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan and magnetic resonance venography (MRV) scan confirmed the diagnosis of CVST.Moreover, the patient with none symptoms of infection. We also check the β2-glycoprotein, antinuclear antibodies and rheumatoid factors for the patient.Antiphospholipid syndrome(APS) was suspected. The patient was treated with Warfarin for ten months, after which the patient's headache recovered. Conclusion: Due to its diverse and varied neurological presentation, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis should be considered in almost any brain syndrome.Whether the patient with or without fever or other symptoms of infection, we should considered CVST, especially in children.Timely treatment with anticoagulation would benefit the patients.
