To reduce the weld seams and to enhance the operating safety, the steam generator of a nuclear power plant is nowadays widely de-signed with the integral technique.The integrated conical shell is one of the most complex parts which has a shape with a conical section in the middle while two cylindrical sections in both the ends.it is too difficult to master the taper and diameters of the workpiece just based on the forging experiences.
