Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and advantages of 18F-FDG PET/CT in single spinal metastasis detection.Methods: A total of 67 primary cancer patients, 41 males and 26 females with an age range of 40 to 83 years (average of61.2), who have single spinal disease, and who were suspected to have bone metastasis based on CT and/or MRI underwent18F-FDG PET/CT.Patients lacking MRI imaging received MRI after PET/CT scan.The final diagnosis was determined by pathological examination or clinical and imaging follow up (≥6months).PET/CT results were compared with PET, CT, and MRI to evaluate the efficacy of18F-FDG PET/CT in single spinal metastasis detection.
