Background With the development of supermicrosurgery and concept of perforator flaps, small vessels can be dissected directly and anastomosed to smaller (less than 1 mm) recipient vessels.These techniques and concept lead aesthetic microsurgery, nerve flaps and single fascicular anastomosis, and capillary perforator flaps as new clinical applications.
