Background Coronary artery disease in young female less than 40 years old is rarely investigated.We performed a retrospective study aiming at identifying the etiology and clinical characters of young female coronary artery disease.Methods From May 2005 to December 2011, 157 young female patients less than 40 years old with coronary artery disease documented by coronary angiography were enrolled in this study.
