　　Food has long been recognized as a key factor in driving population dynamics of small rodents,however,the underlying demographic mechanisms are not fully understood.Many previous studies reported that food supplementation increased population density of rodents,but a recent extensive review suggested that this might be caused by “a crowding effect” due to immigration of rodents.
