LiFePO4/nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanofiber webs (CNFWs) composites are synthesized and the impacts on electrochemical performance for contents of CNFWs are also investigated. The electrochemical performance results showed that the LiFePO4 contented 10% of CNFWs (LFP-3) presented the best cycling performances. The initial charge-discharge specific capacities are as high as 169 mAh·g-1and 188 mAh·g-1 respectively,at a current density of 0.2C,and the voltage of 3.0~4.2 V.Its discharge specific capacity is still 165 mAh·g-1 beyond 50 cycles for lithium ion batteries.Sample LFP-3 shows obvious advantage in rate test compared with the LFP material; it is about 95.7 mAh·g-1 at 10C rate. When the material is discharged at low current after high rate test, the discharge capacity of the samples can revert back to above 98% of the initial discharge capacity. It is believed that the LiFePO4/CNFWs composite is quite acceptable with other high performance nanostructured cathode materials.
