Objective Myostatin is an endogenous, negative regulator of muscle growth determining both muscle fiber number and size.Our previous studies suggested that the expression of myostatin gene mRNA was various different in muscular tissues from patients with myotonic dystrophy,Duchenne muscular dystrophy and polymyositis.Today, we wanted to investigate myostatin gene mRNA expression in the muscle tissue from patients with muscle weakness suffering from different illness.
