The family of MM'X hexagonal alloys havs been intensively studied in the recent years.1 Details of a first-order martensitic transition as well as another ferromagnetic(FM)--antiferromagnetic(AFM)transition occurring at a lower temperature in Mn1-xFexNiGe(x=0.05,0.1,and 0.15)alloys were carefully investigated by x-ray diffraction,differential scanning calorimetry,magnetization as well as the linear thermal expansion measurements.
