Dentin hypersensitivity(DH)primarily results from the exposure and patency of dentin tubules. The widely accepted hydrodynamic theory states that once the fluid flow within the tubules is changed by thermal, mechanical or chemical stimulus, the movement of the fluid will cause the deformation of the nerve endings.A method of calcium phosphate(CaP)precipitation has exhibited promising results for the occlusion of dentin tubules owing to its favorable compatible with tooth enamel.
