  The logistics simulation technology is an important means of analyzing some indexes to evaluating the entire molten iron railway production system,including analyzing the utilization rate of work location lines such as inverted cans line,inverted slag line,parking line for heavy tank and empty tank,and so on.And it also can compute the utilization rate of throat turnout,the efficiency of locomotive,and collect the statistics on locomotive running,torpedo ladle car running period,torpedo ladle car running graph and molten iron reserves on line through the whole molten iron railway scheduling system.Moreover,the logistics simulation technology can realize visual demo of the production process and give the users a 3 - D and intuitive interface.In this paper,the main process in molten iron railway scheduling system was introduced first and subsequently it was worked out how to build the whole system under given production process requirement.And then it was pointed out the purpose to use logistics simulation in solving this problem presented,moreover,several key techniques and algorithms were focused on in the process of system development,for example,blast furnace module,tapping hole with empty cans module,inverted cans station module,collision avoidance checking module,static collision avoidance algorithm module,dynamic collision avoidance algorithm module,shortest path through turnout algorithm module and locomotive running module.Through these modules,engineers can build a new molten iron railway dispatch system quickly,and research the operation results under different system.By analyzing some corresponding indexes,the engineers can choose a better plan.In real - word applications,the simulation model of existing system can be built by using there modules,the users will observe whether the operation of simulation system is consistent with the actual operation.Better still,a long time operation of actual system ( like one year) can be finished in just a few hours in the computer,and the error is in the permitted range,from which the efficiency of analysis and verification of the system can be improved greatly.In the end,an example was given to show the result of applying molten iron railway scheduling system by the logistics simulation technology,some parameters were computed from the simulation system such as the efficiency of every locomotive,the occupancy rate of key lines and fluctuation curve of molten iron in process,through these simulation methods,the decision makers and the engineers can simulate and improve the design system constantly by knowing the condition of all the key facilities under different dispatch system,therefore,the investment risk can be reduced effectively before the actual production.
