Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is a neuro-behavioral developmental syndrome which affects 3-7 percent of school children aged 6-12 years and as many as 10 percent of healthy older children. In the last 2 decades more than 25% of school children are diagnosed with ADD and in late adolescence, students in senior class as many as 50% are taking stimulant drugs either daily or before examinations. This "ADD epidemic" calls for caution and requires a revision of the diagnostic tolls used and their validity.
