Introduction Naoxinqing Pian (NXQ), a patented herbal medicine comprises standardised extract of dry leaves of Diospyros kaki.The extract has been reported to possess several pharmacological activities including radical scavenging, thrombosis inhibition, blood pressure lowing, and neuroprotective effects.This study was designed to establish the pharmacokinetic characteristics of quercetin and kaempferol, two main bioactive components of NXQ in rats.
