In order to study the forklift stability during the turning process while breaking,firstly the paper analyzed three braking conditions including straight forward,straight backward driving and turning backward.Secondly expended the stable area from triangle to trapezoidal with the lock of the rear axle center hinge based on the principle of the gravity center stable triangle and thereby improved the stability.Finally the control strategy was proposed based on various sensor signals.This papers analysis will help carrying out the follow-up work of modeling and simulation of the forklift turning and braking process.
