Rohitukine,a chromone alkaloid,possess anti-inflammatory,anti-cancer and immuno modulatory properties.It is reported from two divergent plant families,Meliaceae (Amoora rohituka and Dysoxylum binectariferum) and Rubiaceae (Schumanniophyton problematicum and Schumanniophyton magnificum).
