　　Biomass is a renewable energy and carbon-based source, containing less sulfur and nitrogen dements compared with coal and petroleum.Recently we are developing a new technology to convert biomass: cellulose→ sugar→ levulime acid → valerolacone, using environmentally benign reaction media, ionic liquids and supercritical CO2.
