As the fundamental 2D carbon structure, graphene can be conceptually viewed as an indefinitely extended, 2D aromatic macromolecule, and can be also considered as a basic building block for carbon materials of all other dimensionalities including the wrapped 0D buckyballs (fullerenes), the rolled 1D nanotubes and the stacked 3D graphite.Graphene has attracted great attention in recent years owing to its remarkable mechanical, electrical, thermal properties, and ultrahigh surface area.
