The whole-genome sequencing projects have revealed that the microbial secondary metabolome is far richer than once thought,even in actinomycetes,which are responsible for the production of nearly 70 %of known microbial natural products.In the past decades,by taking advantage of genomic sequencing and the development of new strategies,various cryptic (or orphan) pathways have been identified.Streptomyces sp.LZ35 strain was isolated from the intertidal soil collected at Jimei,Xiamen,China.
