The adsorption amount of dye molecule on TiO2 thin films is the most important in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).Until now,the measurement of the amount of dye adsorption was measured by desorption with NaOH solution [1].A novel adsorption appartus were made in our laboratory to understand the adsorption mechanism of dye molecules on TiO2 thin film and also obtain the precise adsorption amount without desorption step (Fig.1).Commercial dye of N719 were employed to measure the adsorption equilibrium data which were analyzed by Langmuir adsorption isotherm and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models (Fig.2).It was found that the adsorption apparatus developed in this work for DSSCs was very effective and precise for the measurement of the adsorption amount directly of dyes on TiO2 thin film without desorption step.
