Bats carry extremely diverse RNA viruses some of them are responsible for human pandemics.Compared with bat-borne RNA viruses,the information of bat-borne DNA viruses is limited.In this study,we report the isolation and characterization of five novel adenoviruses (AdVs) from two bat species,Rhinolophus sinicus (BtAdV-WIV9 to 11) and Miniopterus schreibersi (BtAdV-WIV12 & 13).
