Improving resources and environmental performance is a core and key issue of Chinas ecological rehabilitation and reconstruction.In the perspective of ecological efficiency, the intensities and performances of resources and environment of Jiangxi Province of China during 2000-2008 years were analyzed systematically with improved resources and environmental performance index in the study.The results showed that: With the accelerated economic development, energy and water consumption increased at the same pace but the later increased relatively slowly Jiangxi, However, through strengthening industrial structure readjustment and technological innovation and adopting comprehensive measures, it is entirely possible to shorten the current stage of development and to upgrade the comprehensive competitiveness of Jiangxi Province in central China, in which we can achieve sustainable development.
