Optimization of the Heat Shield Based on the Sequential Quadratic Programming Algorithm

　　With the development of the aerospace technology, precise design is in desire need in this filed.Optimization of aerospace structure is the key work in the process of the structure design.The structure, especially those weights as the payload are the main objects of the optimization.In order to get the best result that meet the general demand, the optimization must be executed under several constraints and calculate iteratively.In this paper, an upper-stage engine heat shield is optimized so as to utilize the launch capability of the rocket.The optimization is executed using the sequential quadratic programming (SQP) algorithm with the weight as the object, the lateral frequency as the constraint and dimensions of the truss structure section as the variables.The result shows that this optimization method produces a perfect outcome which provides basis for the fine design of the heat shield.
