平胸龟(Platysternon megacephalum)是具有重要生态、科研和经济价值的珍稀濒危淡水龟类物种之一.开展平胸龟人工驯养繁殖是保护这一珍稀动物资源的重要手段.然而,由于平胸龟生态生物学习性比较独特,人工驯养繁殖十分困难,在人工饲养条件下往往不能正常发情交配,主要表现为雄性无交配意向或雌性反抗交配.
