Along with vigorous development of medical science and other subjects, a lot of new techniques, ideas, materials and methods were continuously sprung up.The techniques of plastic and cosmetic surgery were already used to repair burn wound on the early stage,especially to those wounds on the special regions.These advances made burn wound treatment from simply cover wound to save the patient s life to promote to repair wound and reconstruct function on the same time, and further to advance the aim of cosmetic repair.Because of burn surgeon s hard work, some progress on the cosmetic repair of deep burn wound on the special region achieved, but there showed a large gap between burn clinics and cosmetic repair.Clinical experience proved that if the basic principles of cosmetic repair were followed, the techniques and methods of plastic and cosmetic surgery were employed correctly, and the role of burn rehabilitation were fully brought into play, it might be practicable to achieve cosmetic repair of deep burn wound on the special region.
