　　The paddy rice(Oryza sativa L.)upland crop rotation is a major cropping system in Japan.The essential factors that affect soil structure in this system are drying,soil reduction,and puddling.This study focused on the changes in pore size distribution in response to these factors,using the mercury intuition porosimetry technique.A clayey paddy subsoil(HC)was used in this study.
