Inverse problems arise in a wide variety of applications,e.g.,medical imaging,tomography,anomalous diffusion and compressed sensing.Their efficient and stable numerical solution is however very challenging due to the ill-posed nature of inverse problems.There have been significant progress in recent years,in novel application,new mathematical techniques and efficient optimization algorithms.In this mini-symposium,we aim to present and discuss recent advances in the area.
