In order to investigate the drag reduction characteristics of high-speed body in supercavitation shape, four kinds of typical disk cavitator models with different parameters were designed, their velocity decrease histories were measured through series of supercavitating flow experiments, and the average drag coefficients of four models were calculated based on the experimental data.The influences of cavitator diameter, projectile aspect ratio and cavitation number on the drag reduction of supercavitation bodies were compared and analyzed.Based on the experimental results, drag reduction of supercavitation body was simulated with the use of FLUENT6.2.
