Photoperiodic hypocotyl growth is regarded as a coincidence mechanism orchestrated by endogenous circadian clock and external light duration.Nevertheless,the elaborate mechanism of circadian clock mediating photoperiodic hypocotyl growth largely remains enigmatic.Two basic helix-loop-helix proteins,Phytochrome-Interacting Factor 4(PIF4)and PIF5 are major factors to control hypocotyls growth by integrating multiple hormones signals,light input and circadian clock.
