With the rejuvenation of Chinese Buddhism and the gradual improvement of people's spiritual and
cultural needs, a wave of building Buddhist temples sweeps across the country. Suddenly we have before us a
large quantity of archaised architectural complex. The emergence of this phenomenon to some extent shows us a dynasty with the architectural visual effects both of Ming & Qing and Tang dynasty. While
can this phenomenon which one architectural culture passes through another bring die rejuvenation to Chinese
architecture? The answer is absolutely negative. This paper first analyzes the reasons that lead to the
similarity in domestic Buddhist temple design methods and ideas, and then puts forward some thoughts and methods that can be used for reference and discusses the ideas, attitudes and methods which
should be adapted for the planning and design of Buddhist architecture in this new era.
