Carbon materials play an important role as catalyst support in fuel cells and catalysis because of their high corrosion resistance, big surface area and good electrical conductivity.Among them carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are increasingly used due to their well-defined structure and their physical and chemical properties.Recently, it was found that N-doped CNTs can be directly used as catalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) avoiding the use of noble metal nanoparticles.
