Four pH values (6.2,5.5,5.0 or 4.5;marked as treatment pH 6.2,pH 5.5,pH 5.0 or pH 4.5) and two ratios of vegetable protein to total protein in milk replacers (50 or 80%,marked as group MRA or MRB) were used according to a 4 × 2 factorial design to st udy the relationship between blood gas parameters and the pH of milk replacers fed to pre-ruminant calves.
