Four pH values (6.2,5.5,5.0 or 4.5;marked as treatment pH 6.2,pH 5.5,pH 5.0 or pH 4.5) and two ratios of vegetable protein to total protein in milk replacers (50 or 80％,marked as group MRA or MRB) were used according to a 4 × 2 factorial design to st udy the relationship between blood gas parameters and the pH of milk replacers fed to pre-ruminant calves.
