Currently there is huge demand of wearable, flexible, light weight and "smart" functional electronics to meet the technological demands of modern society. Most industrially used synthetic polymer substrates like polycarbonate, Polyimide, poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and poly-(ethylene naphthalate) or conductive foils, fibres from filament or metal (Carbon, Cu, Al, Stainless steel etc.) are inert in nature due to the lake of polar functional groups present, low surface free energy (SFE), incompatibility, hydrophobicity resulting in inherently poor adhesion with conductive material (e.g. CNT, Ag, Cu etc.) coating and therefore limited for industrial application.
