TRPM4 is a Ca2+-activated nonselective cation channel implicated in familial atrio-ventricular blocks and other arrhythmogenic propensity associated with cardiac remodeling. In this study, we investigated whether the Ca2+ sensitivity of this channel could sufficiently explain its contribution to arrhythmogenicity in both expression system and immortalized atrial myocyte line HL-1.
