  ARCCESS(R) Electric Arc Furnaces from SMS Siemag stand for reliable operation,high productivity,and innovative equipment.The revolutionary new ARCCESS(R) steady EAF (S/EAF(R)) is a stationary electric arc furnace that is designed for the use of DRI,HBI,pig iron,hot metal and steel scrap.The key component that ensures continuous operation is the electrode holding and slipping device.It allows the S/EAF(R) to operate continuously with energy consumption reduced to a minimum level.This approach is underlined by the SMS Siemag Injection System (SIS).The combined natural gas burner and oxygen injection units are designed for high availability at low operation costs and an outstanding lifetime due to its retracted.The special ‘de Laval nozzle provides for a homogeneous heat distribution in burner mode,and high decarburization rates in injector mode.Other features are briquettes for the improved formation of foamy slag in stainless steel production,a complete new optimized slag door design (swing door); a wireless temperature measurement system,the FEOS (Furnace Energy Optimization System) and a unique off gas analyze system as a tool for better furnace control.SMS Siemag has continued its development of the electric arc furnace by combinations by using proven energy saving technology from the submerged-arc furnace and electric arc furnaces which decrease production costs and improves productivity by up to 30 percent.SMS Siemag also offers a wide range of tailor-made solutions for energy recovery systems.These solutions are adapted to the corresponding steel melting aggregate.
