　　In 2007,as part of a CEN (European Committee for Standardization) workshop,76 participants representing 24 countries developed the first intemational laboratory biosafety and biosecurity (biorisk) management standard.The standard was published by CEN in February of 2008 and is currently implemented in laboratories worldwide.
