PURPOSE Investigate the distinctions of different interval scanning phases in renal perfusion values by Revolution CT. METHOD AND MATERIALS 38 patients ( 21 males, 17 females, average age 57.53±14.37 year) was included according to the inclusive criteria of normal kidneys and received renal perfusion CT on Revolution CT during October 1 to November 30, 2015.They were divided continuous perfusion group(group A)and Intermittent perfusion group(group B).The scan parameters as follow: axial scanning include bilateral kidneys, tube voltage 80kV, tube current 200mA, ASIR-V 60%, Tube ball rotation time 0.5s, Z axis coverage 160 mm, Matrix 512*512, SFOV 50.0cm;Scan layer thickness/interval 5mm/5mm.The data acquisition every 2s a time was start after 5s when injected finished.Group A was required 25 times collection, Group B was scanned a cortical phase about 12.7-15.7s after 8 times perfusion data collection and acquired 13 times subsequently.Perfusion values included values of blood flow(BF),blood volume(BV), Tmax, mean transit time(MTT), time to peak(TP) and permeability surface(PS) were measured by two radiologists independently using AW 4.6, CT perfusion 4D. 3 ROIs were drew in cortex and medulla of renal maximum slices. Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) applied for two observers consistency inspection. Independent T test and Mann-Whitney U test. RESULTS The results of the two radiologists are in good agreement(>0.80).The comparison of group A and B showed there are significant differences between them in cortical BV, medullary MTT,TP, PS,left renal BF,right cortical TP. CONCLUSION Different scanning phases have no effect on Tmax,but in some degrees can affect BF, BV, MTT, TP and PS.
