In this talk,we present a geometric numerical integrator derived from discrete variational principle in Hamels field formalism.The simulations for geometrically exact beam and Chaplygin-Timoshenko sleigh,an infinite-dimensional nonholonomic mechanical system,illustrate that the derived algorithms preserve numerically energy,momentum,geometry structure and nonholonomic constraints.
