A Potential Aerosol Mass(PAM)reactor was coupled with a Scanning MobilityParticle Sizer(SMPS)and measurements were made at Taehwa forest observatory near Seoulmetropolitan area,South Korea in April,May,and October,2014.Secondary aerosol formingpotential was investigated based on the particle number and mass difference between PAM andambient air, modulated every six minutes. The OH exposures ranged from 2 × 1011 to 5.1 × 1012 molecules cm-3 s approximately,or 1.6to 16 atmospheric aging days.Sharp particle number increase and significant particle mass losswere found in Aitken mode(10~100 nm)and condensation mode(100~500 nm),respectively,in PAM reactor. The PAM_O3 concentration was high-to-low modulated to reduce the PAMaerosol mass loss, and even an evident gain of particle mass in reactor was observed in particlesize around 100 nm when O3 decreased to 1~3 ppmv.
