　　Both Massariosphaeria sensu lato and Trematosphaeria sensu lato contain numerous phragmosporous species, which makes these two genera difficult to distinguish.Although the polyphyletic nature of Massadosphaeria sensu lato and Trematosphaeria sensu lato has been well documented, the disposal of most species of these two genera is unclear yet.
