Within the relativistic meanfield(RMF)theory, two different methods, coexisting phases method and Thomas-Fermi approximation, are adopted to studythe properties of pasta phases and crustcore transition. The symmetry energy slope L plays an important role in the pasta phases andcrustcore transition. The main results obtained here are consistent with the ones in other methods.A smaller slope L predicts more complex pasta phases and more nucleon andproton numbers in the droplet.Crustcore transition density and the proton fraction at this point decrease withsymmetry slope L.
