Shanghai is a mega coastal city at the east coast of China,which is threaten by the storm surge and waves in typhoon season.To protect the coastal regions from the impact of storm surges and waves,there are seadikes of 500km in length constructed along the coastline in the Yangtze estuary and Hangzhou bay.
