Explicit time integration algorithms are of significance to solve efficiently dynamic responses of structures, especially in the real-time substructure testing.In the past, various methods were used to develop integration algorithms, including Taylor series expansions, weighted residual methods, Hamilton s principle and least-squares methods.Recently, discrete control theory is introduced in the algorithm design, which sheds new insights for the development of direct integration algorithms.
