Research on the thematic information expression and its new mapping modes of mining subsidence

Mining subsidence is a serious geological disaster,and needed to be further studied in order to reduce mining damage effectively.Based on the more mature surface movement-deformation computing and 3D visualization methods,this aper researched on the thematic information expression and its new GIS mapping modes of mining ubsidence using remote sensing image,topographical map and other data.C# and ArcGIS Engine are combined to design and develop the Mining Subsidence Prediction and Thematic Mapping (MSP-TM) system; then the Google Earth COM API is used to ntegrate Google Earth in the system to acquire the matched images of the mining subsidence area.Finally,the system can realize some mapping features,such as the analysis and visualization of the mine urface deformation information,the 3D simulation map flooded by water in the subsidence basin of a mine area,the 3D surfacedeformation image maps,the surface-deformation analysis maps in the specific zone of a mining subsidence area,and the damage-grade distribution maps in a mining subsidence area.
