Prompt recycling of stamping scrap is an important contributor to the financial equation of a vehicle program the size of the Ford F-150.Production volumes of this magnitude require not only multiple aluminum suppliers, but multiple stamping suppliers as well.This presentation will explore both the challenges and the solutions to establish a practical and cost effective prompt recycling scheme with 3 aluminum companies supplying 7 alloys representing 11 unique supplier alloy combinations.
