A need of long-life cathodes with high current densities becomes very important with the rapid development of high-power at millimeter-wave and terahertz devices.Scandate cathodes have attracted great attention and become a promising candidate to provide reliable emission at high level current densities at reasonable operating temperatures.Powder, the starting materials for fabricating cathodes by powder metallurgy method, strongly affects the emission property of the cathodes.
