AIM To introduce a new medicinal conception-protease inaetivators.METHODS In this paper, all doctors are told that in the basic knowledge of biochemistry, these substances (acids, alkalis, alcohol, ultraviolet rays, heavy metals, arsenides,urea, acetone, etc.) can denature proteins, and the consequences of protein denaturation include: ① hormones loss their function;② proteases loss their activity.In fact, there are two drugs to denature proteins and inactivate proteases in the Chinese pharmacopoeia.They are cinnabar (a heavy metal and its chemical name is mercuric sulfide-HgS) and realgar (an arsenide and its chemical name is arsenic sulfide-As2S2).Cinnabar (HgS) and realgar (As2S2) can inactivate various proteases in viral DNA or RNA and inactivated various proteases in malignant tumor cells.In addition, they also can denature various proteins in snake venom.RFSULTS AND CONCLUSION After viral proteases are inactivated, viruses cannot replicate.Because the proteases in malignant tumor cells are inactivated, malignant tumor cells cannot divide and survive.Because of protein denaturation in snake venom, snake venom loses its toxicity.Therefore, pharmacologically, protease inactivators have the antiviral, anti-neoplastic and anti-venomous effects, which are consistent with the principle and practice of medical science.
