The plasma proteome can be considered the most important analyte for monitoring the physical condition of a patient,because blood flows throughout the body and potentially contains portions of any protein found within any cell.However,the plasma contains thousands of proteins,and the dynamic range of protein abundance has been estimated to vary by 10 orders of magnitude.
