To find the natural bioactive substances as cancer chemopreventive agents has been a global trend.Graptopetalum paraguayense E.Walther (GP) is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine that is belonging to the Crassvlaceae family.In our preliminary study showed that the leaves ethyl acetate extract (GEA) of GP exhibit inhibit the cell growth and induce cell cycle arrest of human hepatoma cell (Hep G2 cell) and induced apoptosis in Hep G2 cells may via the intracellular Cae release and mitochondria membrane potential pathway.
